Emergency Shut Down

Rigsmart’s wireless emergency shut down (ESD) buttons send a signal that can be used to shut down any engine or pump on the lease.

Rigsmart customers have also used wireless ESD signals to;

• Apply the rig brakes
• To provide two-factor authentication during a by-pass
• As remote BOP control stations
• Send any other operational input from one location to another.

Multiple wireless ESD buttons can be located anywhere on the lease – at the drillers station or doghouse, in the rig manager’s shack or at any muster point.

Control hardware is available for any electronic or pneumatic engine kill.
